1. Acceptance
By booking an appointment at Lunas Hilom Sanctuary ("we", "our", "us"), by contacting us through this website, or by visiting our premises at 2nd Floor, 38 Scout Borromeo Street, Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City 1103, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, we kindly ask that you do not proceed with a booking.
2. About Our Services
Lunas Hilom Sanctuary offers traditional Filipino healing practices — hilot, ventosa (cupping), dagdagay bamboo foot therapy, and a combined mobility-rehab service co-led by a licensed physiotherapist. Our practitioners are PITAHC-certified where applicable, and our studio is registered under DOH Administrative Order 2018-0017.
Our services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Hilot and allied traditional practices are complementary to, not a replacement for, care from a licensed physician, surgeon, rheumatologist, or other medical specialist. We do not diagnose medical conditions, we do not prescribe medication, and we do not guarantee any specific outcome from a session or series of sessions. If you are uncertain whether a condition is suitable for traditional bodywork, please consult your physician before booking.
3. Booking & Cancellation
Bookings may be made online, by phone, or by email. To respect the time of our practitioners and other guests, we ask that:
- Cancellations be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. Cancellations within this window are free of charge.
- Late cancellations (less than 48 hours before the session) or no-shows may be subject to a late cancellation fee of up to 50% of the session price, at the sanctuary's discretion.
- Rescheduling is free of charge when done at least 24 hours before the session.
- Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes may result in a shortened session to respect the next guest's booking; the full session price will still apply.
4. Payments
We accept the following payment methods: cash (Philippine Peso), GCash, Maya, and major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard). HMO-friendly receipts are available upon request; please let our practice manager know in advance so that the receipt can be prepared in the correct format. Package bookings (such as the Joint Renewal Series or Eight-Week Restoration) are payable in full at the first session, and are non-transferable.
5. Client Responsibilities
To keep sessions safe, we ask every guest to:
- Disclose any relevant medical conditions, recent surgeries, pregnancies, medications (especially blood thinners), allergies, and injuries before the session begins.
- Let the practitioner know immediately if you experience discomfort, dizziness, or anything unexpected during a session.
- Arrive in reasonable physical condition — please reschedule if you have a fever, an acute infection, or any condition that could affect your or our staff's safety.
- Treat our practitioners, staff, and fellow guests with respect. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service for conduct that is disrespectful, threatening, or unsafe.
6. Health & Safety
Certain conditions require additional care and may require consultation with a physician or physiotherapist before treatment. These include, without limitation:
- Pregnancy: some sessions are not recommended during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester. Please disclose pregnancy at the time of booking, and we will advise accordingly.
- Recent surgery: we generally recommend consulting a physiotherapist or your surgeon before returning to bodywork within six weeks of a surgery.
- Cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled hypertension, or bleeding disorders: please consult your physician before booking ventosa cupping in particular.
- Active skin infections, open wounds, deep varicose veins, or skin fragility: please tell us so we can adapt the session.
We reserve the right to modify, shorten, or decline a session on safety grounds. In such cases we will refund or credit the guest as appropriate.
